Dream City Film Club.
Live at the Ring O Bells
I must say I was rather disappointed with DCFC as they were a lot slower than what I expected them to be.
They didn't talk much and they didn't move much. I was going to interview them but decided against it. Call it bad journalism if you want but I just couldn't think of anything to ask them apart from why were they so crap?
Dream City Film Club is the name of a porn cinema that burnt down in Soho, they had Brian Molko of Placebo guest on a song of theirs (Billy Chic single) but still I was left untouched by their performance. Apparently this is their second shot a big time fame, better luck next time is all I can say.

DOG ROUGH
Danny Bernard
It's a brave move to venture down the path that Danny has chosen, but someone's got to do it and Danny hath no fear at all with these four tracks.
I can hear some nice chord changes going on and the name that springs into mind is the Lemonheads. Yes, it's very similar to a lot of Lemonheads B-side songs but not the vocals (no one can sing like Evan).
Danny certainly has a unique singing voice that may take listeners a bit of getting used to, but i've heard enough Stipe / Gallagher / Anderson impersonators to last me a lifetime so it's nice to hear someone a bit different for a change.
Best song - In the Village (which has nothing to do with Y.M.C.A.)

SPAG BOLLOX PROMO
1. Rollercoaster 2. Period pains (who d'you think you are.)
This really is terrible I'm sorry to say. It's complete bolloxs, but I don't think they're too bothered about missing out on an Xmas no1. To me it sounds like four lads having a laugh which at the end of the day is how it should be.
Witty lyrics and what sounds like a speeded up distorted guitar. If you like crap punk then this is for you.
Info - The album is 3.00 and contains twelve tracks. you can buy it from ****** ******** ********** ******** ******** ******** Also from the same address you can purchase The amazing "chops & mash" fanzine which is reasonably priced at 80p Plus an A4 S.A.E.
E-VID Demo
E-VID used to be called 'The Dive'. The singer from the dive left so in stepped guitarist Chris who took over on vocals, wrote some new songs and voila, the result is this three track demo.
It's not a bad effort at all with strong melody lines through out and some tasty harmonies and backing vocals which cut through nicely.
All tree tracks are as good as each other, but I was impressed with the old - It's finished, no it hasn't trick. The first track also uses the word 'You' more times than I care to remember.
SUPERELECTRIC
Beyond the viaduct
They say there is a fine line between madness & genius.
i've listened to this tape a lot now & still can't decide whether it's crap or pure brilliance. I even gave it to one of our weird music style experts & he couldn't tell either.
be warned - side 2 says blank tape but it is not, its a song called 'Blank tape'.
PEARL JAM
Live on two legs
The problem with live albums is that youve already heard the songs, providing youve got all the albums, it doesnt feel as though youve gained anything.
that didnt stop me from buying this. Pearl Jam are a great band LIVE and this live album captures them perfectly, its just a shame that they didnt feature some of their better songs on it.
I would have liked to have seen State of love and trust on the track listing but unfortunately it wasnt which is a great shame as its the best song by them ever and its not on any other album apart from the singles soundtrack which has on it a load of crap.
This still is a good album and I would recommend it to all Pearl Jam fans. The best songs include Do the evolution, Even Flow, Black, and Corduroy.
